Recently, someone I care about very much was diagnosed with epilepsy, a serious illness that affects the brain's electrical system. After learning more about epilepsy, I noticed that this person wasn't alone, and that epilepsy is something that many people suffer with. 65 million people worldwide are diagnosed with epilepsy, and there is no cure. Funding for epilepsy research is minimal, and with this disease being so widespread, a cure is very much needed. This is why I teamed up with CURE, a non-profit charity called Citizens United in Research for Epilepsy.    

CURE's mission is to provide funding and resources for breakthrough epilepsy research and to inspire others to take part in their mission. I believe that if everyone comes together and helps to support this cause, a cure can be discovered and it would save the lives of millions of people all over the world.

I have joined Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy’s CURE Crew and I am fundraising to support our shared mission to cure epilepsy. I will be holding bake sales and other events that will collect donations for this worthy cause.
