About the Event
My family and I have been impacted by epilepsy starting with when I was 18 years old. I started developing shakiness and was sent to a neurologist. They could not officially diagnose me with epilepsy as I had not had a seizure but that changed my freshman year at college. Once I had my first grand mal seizure, I was diagnosed. This was a frightening time for my family and I and we battled hard to figure out how to get my seizures under control.
After years, I have the right medication and have now been seizure free for ten years. We want a way to give back to CURE as it has been a wonderful resource and is always looking for a cure for a disease that affects so many people like me. It’s terrifying and so many people feel they can’t talk to anyone or relate. We want to open up that communication line and give to CURE so that the progress can march on.
We will be co-hosting a golf tournament in collaboration with Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates to raise money for a wonderful cause. Thank you CURE for all that you do to keep the hope alive!
The deadline to register for the event is April 18th. To register contact:
